Annealing the ash pan proved difficult and a little frustrating, Well that's not quite true, the annealing was the easy part. The forming of the copper however was a little more difficult. No again, that's not quite true it was &**^%$ difficult!

I started at the corners as the build manual suggested and the copper was easily formed after annealing but there was a lot of copper which didn't want to go anywhere, but outwards. In the end I had to remove the excess metal and will have to silver solder the joins. I am not really pleased with the results but there is much work left to do so perhaps I will reserve judgement. Anyway I here are a couple of photo's for your delectation.
